This Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer Policy ("Policy") sets out the obligations of Kokobet, operated at kokobets.bet by 3-102-897762 LTDA / Luckywayz Limited B.V. ("Kokobet", "we", "us", "our"), with respect to the prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing, and related financial crime. Kokobet holds a Curaçao Gaming Control Board licence (OGL/2024/1497/0884) and operates in accordance with applicable anti-money laundering legislation and regulatory requirements. All players, staff, and third parties associated with kokobets.bet are bound by the principles set out herein.

1. Introduction and Purpose

Money laundering is the process by which the proceeds of criminal activity are disguised to appear as legitimate funds. Terrorist financing involves the provision or collection of funds with the intention that they be used, in whole or in part, to carry out terrorist acts. Kokobet is firmly committed to preventing its platform from being used for either purpose.

This Policy applies to all persons who register an account at kokobets.bet, irrespective of the currency, payment method, or jurisdiction they use. It applies equally to players depositing and withdrawing in fiat currencies (EUR, SEK, NOK, USD) and to those transacting in any of the 24 cryptocurrencies supported on the platform. The obligations set out in this Policy are non-negotiable and cannot be waived by any bonus, VIP status, or other commercial arrangement.

The objectives of this Policy are to:

  • Establish a robust framework for identifying and verifying the identity of players;
  • Monitor account activity for indicators of money laundering or terrorist financing;
  • Ensure timely reporting of suspicious activity to the relevant competent authorities;
  • Maintain accurate records in support of any regulatory or law-enforcement enquiry;
  • Train relevant staff to recognise and respond to financial crime risks; and
  • Protect the integrity of the Kokobet platform and its player community.

2. Legal and Regulatory Framework

Kokobet operates under Curaçao Gaming Control Board licence OGL/2024/1497/0884 and the Costa Rica registration 3-102-897762 LTDA. Our AML/KYC obligations derive from, and are interpreted in light of, the following:

  • The conditions attached to our Curaçao GCB operating licence;
  • Applicable Curaçao and international AML/CFT (Combating the Financing of Terrorism) standards;
  • The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations and associated guidance for the online gambling sector;
  • Relevant data-protection legislation governing the collection and processing of personal data; and
  • Any additional jurisdiction-specific requirements that apply to players in particular territories.

Where any provision of this Policy conflicts with the requirements of applicable law, the stricter requirement shall prevail.

3. Risk-Based Approach

Kokobet adopts a risk-based approach (RBA) to AML/KYC compliance. This means that the level of due diligence applied to any given player or transaction is proportionate to the assessed level of risk. Factors that contribute to our risk assessment include, but are not limited to:

  • The player's country of residence or nationality;
  • The payment methods and currencies used;
  • The volume, frequency, and value of deposits, wagers, and withdrawals;
  • Consistency between declared source of funds and observed betting behaviour;
  • Whether the player has been identified as a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) or is subject to sanctions;
  • Any alerts generated by automated transaction-monitoring systems; and
  • Intelligence received from third-party screening providers or law-enforcement authorities.

Players assessed as lower risk may complete verification at a standard level. Players assessed as higher risk will be subject to Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) as described in Section 6 below. Risk classifications are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be revised at any time.

4. Know Your Customer (KYC) — Standard Verification

4.1 When Verification Is Required

KYC verification may be triggered at any of the following points:

  • Upon registration, where risk indicators suggest early verification is appropriate;
  • Before any withdrawal is processed, regardless of amount;
  • When cumulative deposits reach or are reasonably likely to reach applicable thresholds;
  • When account activity generates an alert through our transaction-monitoring systems;
  • When a player requests a withdrawal for the first time;
  • At any time that Kokobet, in its sole and reasonable discretion, considers verification necessary for compliance purposes.

Kokobet reserves the right to place a temporary hold on deposits, withdrawals, bonuses (including welcome bonuses up to €1,500 + 150 Free Spins, VIP rewards, cashback, and any other promotional credit), and account access until satisfactory verification is completed. No interest or compensation will be payable in respect of funds held during a verification review.

4.2 Documents Required — Identity Verification

To verify your identity, Kokobet will require at least one government-issued photo identity document. Acceptable documents include:

  • Valid national passport;
  • National identity card (both sides where applicable);
  • Valid government-issued driving licence (both sides where applicable).

Documents must be:

  • Valid and not expired at the time of submission;
  • Submitted as clear, high-resolution colour images or scans showing all four corners;
  • Free from obstruction, glare, or digital alteration; and
  • In the name of the registered account holder — Kokobet does not permit third-party accounts.

4.3 Documents Required — Proof of Address

To verify your address, Kokobet will require one or more of the following, issued within the preceding three months:

  • Utility bill (gas, electricity, water, or fixed-line telephone);
  • Bank or credit card statement;
  • Official government correspondence;
  • Municipal tax notice or equivalent official document.

The document must clearly display the player's full name, residential address, the issuing authority or institution, and the date of issue.

4.4 Documents Required — Payment Method Verification

Kokobet may require verification of the payment method(s) used for deposits and withdrawals. Depending on the method, this may include:

  • Credit or debit cards: a photograph or scan of the card (with the middle eight digits obscured and only the last four digits and cardholder name visible); a recent statement may also be requested;
  • E-wallets: a screenshot of the e-wallet account confirming the account holder's name and e-mail address;
  • Bank transfer: a bank statement or letter from the financial institution confirming account ownership;
  • Cryptocurrency: confirmation of wallet ownership may be requested; see Section 5 for cryptocurrency-specific requirements.

All deposits and withdrawals must be made through payment methods registered in the name of the verified account holder. Kokobet does not accept third-party payments under any circumstances.

4.5 Selfie and Liveness Checks

Kokobet may require a selfie photograph of the player holding their identity document alongside a handwritten or on-screen date and the text "Kokobet / kokobets.bet". This measure combats identity fraud and ensures that submitted documents correspond to the genuine account holder. In some cases, a short video or liveness-check process may be requested in lieu of or in addition to a static selfie.

4.6 Verification Timelines

Players are expected to submit all requested documentation within seven (7) calendar days of a verification request being issued. Kokobet will endeavour to review submitted documents within 72 hours of receipt, though complex cases or high verification volumes may result in a longer review period. Withdrawal processing — which for crypto averages 15–60 minutes and for e-wallets under one hour — will not commence until verification is confirmed as satisfactory.

Where a player fails to provide the requested documentation within the specified period, Kokobet reserves the right to restrict or close the account and to handle any funds in the account in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and our General Terms and Conditions.

5. Cryptocurrency Transactions — Additional Requirements

Kokobet supports 24 cryptocurrencies for both deposits and withdrawals. Because crypto transactions offer a degree of pseudonymity not present in traditional fiat payments, Kokobet applies specific controls in this area.

5.1 Wallet Consistency

Withdrawals in cryptocurrency will only be sent to a wallet address controlled by the verified account holder. Kokobet will not send crypto withdrawals to a wallet address that differs materially from the deposit source without satisfactory explanation and, where required, additional verification.

5.2 Blockchain Analysis

Kokobet uses blockchain analytics tools to assess the risk profile of incoming crypto transactions. Funds originating from wallet addresses associated with darknet markets, sanctioned entities, mixing or tumbling services, ransomware activity, or other high-risk sources will be flagged for further review. Kokobet reserves the right to freeze funds and file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) where blockchain analysis reveals material risk indicators.

5.3 Source of Crypto Funds

Where a player transacts in cryptocurrency at a volume or frequency that triggers review, Kokobet may request evidence of how the cryptocurrency was acquired. Acceptable evidence may include exchange account statements, mining income records, or documentation demonstrating conversion from verified fiat funds.

6. Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)

Enhanced Due Diligence is applied to players who present a higher risk of money laundering or terrorist financing. EDD may be triggered by, amongst other factors:

  • Residency or nationality in a jurisdiction identified by FATF as high-risk or under increased monitoring;
  • Identification as a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) or a close associate or family member of a PEP;
  • Transaction volumes inconsistent with the player's stated occupation or financial profile;
  • Patterns of rapid deposit-and-withdrawal activity with minimal gameplay;
  • Multiple accounts, device sharing, or other indicators of coordinated activity;
  • Adverse media coverage linking the player to financial crime; or
  • Player attaining higher VIP tiers (including GOLD BEAK or EGGSTRA levels) where elevated withdrawal limits apply.

EDD measures may include, but are not limited to:

  • Requesting a completed Source of Funds (SOF) declaration;
  • Requesting documentary evidence of source of wealth (e.g., payslips, tax returns, business accounts, investment statements, inheritance documentation);
  • More frequent or detailed account reviews;
  • Placing enhanced transaction limits pending the outcome of the review; and
  • Seeking senior management approval before processing high-value transactions.

Players subject to EDD will be notified that additional information is required, though Kokobet is not obliged to disclose the specific risk factor that triggered the review.

7. Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Sanctions Screening

7.1 PEP Screening

A Politically Exposed Person is an individual who is, or has been, entrusted with a prominent public function, including heads of state or government, senior politicians, senior government officials, judicial officials, senior military officers, senior executives of state-owned enterprises, and senior officials of major political parties. PEP status also extends to immediate family members and known close associates.

All players registered at kokobets.bet are screened against PEP databases at the time of registration and on an ongoing basis. The identification of a player as a PEP does not automatically result in account refusal; however, it does require EDD measures to be applied and senior management approval before a business relationship is established or continued.

7.2 Sanctions Screening

Kokobet screens all players against applicable sanctions lists, including those maintained by the United Nations, the European Union, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and other relevant authorities. Any match against a sanctions list will result in immediate account restriction, and Kokobet will take all steps required by applicable law, including reporting to the relevant competent authority and freezing any associated funds.

Kokobet does not accept players who are subject to applicable sanctions or who reside in jurisdictions subject to comprehensive sanctions programmes.

8. Transaction Monitoring

Kokobet operates automated transaction-monitoring systems that analyse player activity on a continuous basis. The following patterns and behaviours are examples of those that may generate an alert for manual review:

  • Large or rapid deposits followed by withdrawal requests with minimal gameplay;
  • Deposits using multiple different payment methods in a short period;
  • Frequent deposits at or just below reporting thresholds (structuring);
  • Withdrawals requested to a different payment method or account than used for deposit;
  • Significant changes in betting patterns or wager sizes without corresponding VIP progression;
  • Multiple accounts operated from the same device, IP address, or payment method;
  • Requests to transfer or reverse funds without a gaming rationale; and
  • Activity inconsistent with the player's stated source of funds or occupation.

Alerts generated by the monitoring system are reviewed by trained compliance staff. Where a review concludes that suspicious activity may be present, the matter will be escalated in accordance with Section 9 below.

9. Suspicious Activity Reporting

Where Kokobet knows, suspects, or has reasonable grounds to suspect that a player or transaction may be connected to money laundering or terrorist financing, a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) or equivalent report will be filed with the competent financial intelligence unit or regulatory authority as required by applicable law.

The following principles apply to SAR filing:

  • No tipping off: Players must not be informed that a SAR has been filed or that they are under investigation. Doing so — by any staff member or person associated with Kokobet — constitutes a serious criminal offence and will be treated as gross misconduct.
  • Account action: Kokobet may suspend, restrict, or close an account in connection with a SAR without providing a detailed explanation to the player.
  • Cooperation with authorities: Kokobet will cooperate fully with any law-enforcement or regulatory investigation and will provide all requested documentation and records within the timeframes required by applicable law.

10. Record Keeping

Kokobet retains all KYC documentation, transaction records, and compliance-related communications for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of the relevant transaction or from the date on which the business relationship is ended, whichever is later. Records are held securely and may be disclosed to competent authorities upon lawful request.

Records retained include, but are not limited to:

  • Copies of all identity and address verification documents submitted by players;
  • Account registration data and login history;
  • Full transaction histories, including deposit methods, amounts, currencies, and withdrawal destinations;
  • Correspondence with players regarding KYC and compliance matters;
  • Internal due-diligence notes and risk assessments;
  • SAR filings and associated documentation; and
  • Staff training records.

11. Limits, Withdrawals, and AML Controls

The following table summarises key financial parameters relevant to AML controls at kokobets.bet:

Parameter Details
Minimum deposit €20 (€30 to activate welcome bonus)
Minimum withdrawal €20
Supported fiat currencies EUR, SEK, NOK, USD
Supported cryptocurrencies 24 coins (see Payments page for full list)
Crypto withdrawal speed 15–60 minutes (subject to verification clearance)
E-wallet withdrawal speed Under 1 hour (subject to verification clearance)
Card withdrawal speed 1–3 business days (subject to verification clearance)
Maximum bet with active bonus €5 per spin or round
Third-party payments Strictly prohibited
Verification required before withdrawal Yes — all players, all methods

Where a player's withdrawal request cannot be fulfilled to the same payment method used for deposit (for example, due to an expired card), Kokobet will require additional verification before processing payment via an alternative method. This is a mandatory AML control and is not subject to discretionary override.

Players at higher VIP tiers (GOLD BEAK, EGGSTRA) who benefit from expanded withdrawal limits will be subject to proportionate EDD and, where applicable, source-of-wealth verification. The availability of higher VIP rewards does not reduce or circumvent AML obligations.

12. Responsible Gambling and AML Interaction

Kokobet recognises that problem gambling and money laundering may sometimes produce overlapping behavioural indicators. Unusual deposit frequency, atypical wager sizes relative to account history, and rapid cycling of funds are relevant to both responsible-gambling assessments and AML monitoring. Our compliance and safer-gambling teams work in coordination to ensure that any player triggering alerts in either domain receives appropriate attention.

Where a player sets deposit limits, loss limits, session limits, or self-exclusion arrangements through our responsible-gambling tools, these restrictions interact with and complement (but do not replace) our AML controls. A self-excluded player remains subject to KYC obligations in respect of any funds held in their account at the time of exclusion.

Players who wish to discuss responsible gambling measures may contact our support team via live chat (available 24/7) or by e-mail at [email protected].

13. Staff Training and Internal Controls

All Kokobet personnel with responsibilities that touch on player onboarding, payments, customer support, or compliance receive AML/KYC training at the time of appointment and on a regular ongoing basis. Training covers:

  • Recognition of money laundering typologies relevant to online gambling;
  • The obligation to report suspicions internally and the process for doing so;
  • The prohibition on tipping off;
  • Kokobet's KYC procedures and document requirements;
  • Relevant sanctions and PEP screening obligations; and
  • Data protection obligations in handling personal information.

A nominated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) is responsible for overseeing this Policy, receiving internal suspicious-activity reports, determining whether external reporting is required, and maintaining the record-keeping obligations set out in Section 10.

14. Player Obligations

By registering an account at kokobets.bet, players expressly agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date personal information at all times;
  • Submit all requested KYC documentation promptly and without alteration or falsification;
  • Use only payment methods registered in their own name;
  • Not engage in any form of money laundering, structuring, or other financial crime using the Kokobet platform;
  • Notify Kokobet promptly of any change in personal details, including name, address, or contact information;
  • Not open more than one account at kokobets.bet; and
  • Cooperate fully with any verification review or compliance enquiry initiated by Kokobet.

Breach of any of the above obligations may result in account suspension, cancellation of pending withdrawals and bonuses (including any accumulated VIP benefits), and reporting to the relevant authorities. Kokobet reserves the right to withhold funds where it has reasonable grounds to believe they are connected to financial crime pending the outcome of an investigation or regulatory direction.

15. Consequences of Non-Compliance

Players who fail to complete KYC verification, provide false or misleading information, or whose accounts are connected to suspected money laundering or terrorist financing may be subject to one or more of the following actions:

  • Temporary or permanent suspension of account access;
  • Cancellation of pending withdrawals;
  • Forfeiture of bonuses, free spins, cashback, rakeback, VIP points, and any other promotional value;
  • Closure of the account and return of verified deposits (net of withdrawals already made) in accordance with applicable law;
  • Reporting of the player and associated information to law-enforcement or regulatory authorities; and
  • Freezing of funds pending regulatory or law-enforcement direction.

Kokobet will not be liable for any losses, inconvenience, or costs incurred by a player as a result of account restriction or closure undertaken in good faith for AML/KYC compliance purposes.

16. Policy Review and Updates

This Policy is reviewed at least annually by the MLRO and senior management, and is updated as required to reflect changes in applicable law, regulatory guidance, FATF standards, or Kokobet's operational risk profile. Material changes will be communicated to registered players via the email address on file and/or by notice on kokobets.bet. Continued use of the platform following notification of a policy change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

17. Contact and Queries

If you have any questions about this Policy or about your KYC verification status, please contact the Kokobet compliance team through any of the following channels:

  • Live chat: available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via kokobets.bet
  • Email: [email protected]

Please note that Kokobet's compliance team is unable to discuss the details of any SAR filing, ongoing investigation, or the specific reason why an account has been flagged for review, due to legal tipping-off restrictions.

This AML / KYC Policy was last reviewed in 2025 and applies to all accounts registered at kokobets.bet. It forms part of, and should be read alongside, the Kokobet General Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Responsible Gambling Policy.
